Cost
Approximately $960.00. This includes full room and board at the Kananaskis Field Station, all transportation from Calgary, and all course supplies.

Prerequisites
No specific course prerequisites. However, this course requires considerable travel on foot. You will be required to be on your feet, walking on rough terrain, in all weather, all day long. If you can’t handle this, please don’t sign up! Suitable footwear is required.

Content
The flora and fauna of subalpine and alpine environments. Activities will include visits to different alpine areas during the first week, to learn the flora and fauna of alpine terrestrial and aquatic environments. Comparisons over elevational gradients will be emphasized. Students will conduct an independent field project during the second week of the course.
