Essay Outline
Length: 1-2 pages
Style: reasonable size font, double-space so I
can make comments.
Structure:
a)
Introduction: brief outline of your topic, including
thesis
b) Substance: what you intend to discuss in your paper. Include
references
c) References: at least 5 of your good ones
1) Have a really well formulated thesis (argument).
e.g.
In the arms race between cuckoos and their hosts, cuckoos have succeeded by evolving egg mimicry, young with exaggerated hunger cues, and behavioural
avoidance of host parents.
2) Make sure your sources are relevant, recent (if possible) & in reliable journals.
3) If you have any questions for me...include them on your outline.
