Assignments

1) first essay (1000 words) - due October 22 - 20%
2) final essay (2500 words) - due December 3 - 35%
3) group presentation - one of 4 presentations, lasting about an hour in total (see schedule above) - 25%
4) quizzes at beginning of each class dealing with Ulysses (8 reading quizzes in all, best 7 count) - 10%
5) attendance and participation - 10%
There will be no final examination in the course.
