Soc. 300~SLIDE SHOWS
The following material is now available for downloading. The slide shows are viewable over the web through a Corel Presentations plug-in called "Show-it". If the plug-in is not already installed within your browser, it can be downloaded from Corel by following the link on the next page. The plug-in itself is only about 250K and should install fairly quickly.

Most of the slideshow files are quite large--in the 1+ megabyte range--and will take a while to download even on campus. I would not recommend viewing them over a modem (even at 56K it would take an evening). It would be a far better use of your time to view the files when you are connected directly to the campus network.

Most of the shows have audio, so make sure to plug in your ear phones.

• Normal distribution (1 meg). Audio with each slide.
  
• Variance (1 meg). Audio with each slide.
  
• Type I & II errors (11 megs--very big). Audio with each slide.
  
• Sampling distributions (8 megs). Audio with each slide.
  
• Simple regression (1.5 megs). Audio with each slide.
