The ameloblastic fibroma, may be a "mixed" odontogenic tumor in which both epithelial and mesenchymal components are neoplastic. The epithelium is odontogenic while the mesenchymal component resembles pulp. It is a completely benign tumorthat is treated adequately by curettage or enucleation. It must be differentiated from ameloblastoma, a much more aggressive neoplasm.
