North Portage Regional Geology
The F1 & F2 fabrics are generally NE trending, SE dipping on the NW fold limb of the NPs. This orientation progressively changes around the NPs fold hinge.
Plunge direction of NPs folds has been observed to change form NE to SW, although dominantly SW.
The F1 & F2 fabrics are generally N trending, W dipping on the SE fold limb.
The Meadowbank deposits are located, within a structurally complex area, in a narrow neck of supracrustal rocks, sandwiched between granitic plutons.
