Third Portage Lake Area Geology
Proceeding southward on the SE fold limb of the NPs, in the Third Portage Lake area, sub-parallel F1 & F2 fabrics progressively change attitude to NNW trending and become become locally SSW dipping.
These F2 folds are interpreted as locally recumbent, open to isoclinal, chevron folds, refolding earlier F1 isoclinal folds with extreme transposition.
