FR 002~002: Devoir pour la prochaine classe
This week we have begun Chapitre 3 La maison et la ville in Mais Oui! This chapter will focus on the themes of 'apartment hunting' and 'getting around'. By now you should realise that all of the chapters centre themselves on a couple of inter-related themes and all grammar and vocabulary lessons will be related to the tasks or themes disscussed.
Theme 1: Première étape-Un studio We began with the telephone conversation to get used to telephone manners and vocabulary surrounding the theme of 'appartment hunting' in Frnech. The dialogue has been posted on the caledar page of the site.
I would like you to examine closely the FOUR classified ads for apartments on p. 88, then choose the one that appeals to you most and be prepared to talk about WHY. In our next class. You should also be prepared to make a telephone call inquiring about this appartment for next clas ( as per #4 at the top of p. 89).
Read on to Stratégie de communication p.91. This section is going to help you tremendously with this task...you should also be reviewing the new vocabulary being introduced throughout this section.
We will pick up at p. 93 in Mondays class. This section focusses on haousehold vocabulary (furnishings, appliances, rooms etc.). You SHOULD review this vocabulary before Monday's class so that you are able to discuss and use this vocaulary. You can start to think about WB excercises for première étape. We will quickly complete this section on Monday and move on to the next étape in Monday's class.
