Agnes Marshall, in Chatham at residence of bride's father, question about the date. According to the The Gleaner and Northumberland Schediasma, published Jan 6, 1869 William and Agnes were married on the 22nd of the current month, i.e. Jan. 22, 1869 but that seems strange. Perhaps it was a typo and they menat Jan. 2, 1869, or perhaps Dec. 22, 1868. Let's assume it is the former, 2 Jan 1869, until it can be verified.
