Covey, Lillian Elspeth (Sadler)

The death of Lillian Elspeth Covey, wife of the late Carlton C. Covey, occurred on Tuesday, July 30th, 2002 at the Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton. Born in Chatham, N.B. on November 7, 1910, she was the daughter of the late David and Margaret (Dickie) Sadler. She is survived by one sister, Margaret McLellan of Old Bennington, Vermont. She was predeceased by three brothers, James David, Robert Francis and John. She had nine nephews and two nieces.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church and the I.O.D.E. She was an active volunteer with the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was a graduate of Dalhousie University. She was active in the Fredericton arts community and travelled extensively.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held from the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 3rd at 2:00 p.m., Reverend David Fisher officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial tributes made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
