DAVID SADLER
The funeral service for David
Sadler who died at Hotel Dieu Chatham was held at St. Andrews
United Church.
Prior to the service a prayer
service was held at Mr. Sadlers home. The church service was
conducted by Rev. E.A.C. Haley, assisted by Rev. R.A. Ross, Newcastle.
Members of the session of the
United Church attended in a body.
Mr. Sadler, who was a member of
Masonic Lodge No. 18, Free and Accepted Masons, had conducted a
drygoods establishment in Chatham for more than 60 years.
Honorary pallbearers were C.B.
Morris, H.S. Murray, Charles Johnstone, Dr. P.J. Losier, A.W. MacDougall,
Chandler Lobban, Leigh Loggie and R.A. Walls. Active pallbearers
were Herbert Scott, Fred Cameron, Eldon Fowlie and Hazen Lobban.
The body was placed in the mortuary
chapel of Riverside cemetery.
