Sample Test/Exam Questions

The Final Exam for MIT 026a will be held in Thames Hall Gym on Thursday, December 12, 2002 beginning at 9:00am. The Final Exam will be multiple choice format. You are responsible for materials presented in the readings, website, lectures and labs and will include topics covered throughout the entire term.
Please bring UWO ID (student card), a pencil (perhaps two) and an eraser.

Exam Conflicts

Students NOT notified of conflicts by mail must make arrangements as stated below before November 23, 2002.

What constitutes an exam conflict?

Two Final Exams

Students scheduled to write two (2) FINAL EXAMS at the same time must see Rob Downes in the Resistrar's Office SLB Rm. 155 BEFORE November 23, 2002. Students will write both exams on the same day with a SUPERVISED break between exams. Students should bring a lunch and study material. They will not be able to leave the room as they are writing the same exam as the rest of the students in the class.

One Final Exam and One Midyear Test OR Two Midyear Tests

Students must make arrangements with the professor teaching either course who will make arrangements for you.

Three Final Exams within 24 Hours

Students must contact the Office of the Dean of their respective faculties. Three FINAL EXAMS in 24 hours means a student is scheduled to write an exam in three (3) consecutive exam periods such as:

 
9 am 2 pm 7 pm
2 pm 7pm 9 am (next day)
7 pm 9 am (next day) 2 pm (next day)

NOTE: This does not apply to the following combination:

Saturday 2 pm
Saturday 7 pm
Monday 9 am

 

The Mid Term Test for MIT 026a will be held in Talbot College on Monday October 21, 2002 from 5 - 7pm, ie during class time. See the table below to determine which room you will be in.

The test will cover material presented in the readings (which are on 2 hr Reserve at Weldon), lectures and labs during weeks 1-5 inclusive. There will be 2 types of multiple choice questions - those for which a single answer is correct (Single completions) and those for which a combination of answers may provide the most appropriate answer (Multiple completions).
