Because this hand is fairly large, it will probably be possible to play fairly well in tune in all but the lower positions (1/2, I). Nevertheless, insist from the beginning on the proper hand position that will allow the index finger to extend "up" and cover those lowest "frets." The index-finger curl seen here is bound to frustrate accurate intonation, sooner or later.
