This is quite
picture-perfect, as far as the bow and R arm and hand go; it’s hard to
say about the LH. The R leg seems straight below the R shoulder. The bow
is travelling at exact right-angle to the string, well off the
fingerboard, and the hair is flat to the string. Being near the frog, the
R elbow is correctly relaxed, slightly bent. The hand is square across the
bow (perhaps the little finger is a bit straight).
But beware going on sight alone! Sometimes--not generally, but
occasionally--what "looks good" in a snapshot may nevertheless
not sound well, or may not be consistently maintained, or may be achieved
by inappropriate muscular tension, rather than relaxed naturalness. |
