Issues in Local Government

Each year, this seminar explores issues of special importance to Canadian local government at the time each session is being held. It provides an opportunity for senior MPA students to approach material covered in other courses from a different perspective and to present, for peer review and discussion, preliminary findings from their Research Report. Ethical considerations and implications of research practice and reporting are highlighted.

This year as well there will be a special focus as well on government ethics and examples of regulatory and administrative mechanisms set up to encourage ethical conduct.
