• measures somewhat different abilities than tests for older children

• greater emphasis on sensorimotor functioning

• obtain 3 scores: MDI [Mental Development Index]

PDI [Psychomotor Development Index]

IBR [Infant Behaviour Record]

• calculate Developmental Quotient [DQ score]

• average DQ score = 100
