  • DIALOG Website

DIALOG has a rather informative website. Be sure to checkout the following:

    1. Bluesheet Intro: http://www.dialog.com/dialog/databases/netscape1.1/bls.html
    2. ERIC Bluesheet: http://www.dialog.com/dialog/databases/netscape1.1/bl0001.html

    ERIC Search Wizard 2.0

As we know, the ERIC database is in the public domain. There are, therfore, many different approaches to accessing its content. The ERIC Search Wizard Site at http://ericae2.educ.cua.edu/scripts/ewiz/amain2.asp is one such approach. I am impressed with it's presentation of the ERIC thesaurus. Spend sometime time here looking around. Be on the lookout for ways in which this ERIC database differs from DIALOG's presentation. Mentally compare and contrast the two; this is the stuff of end-of-term projects!

    Assignment #2

There are three parts to Assignment#2, divided into two sections. You can get started with Parts 1 and 2 right away. After next week's lecture on Searching Multiple Database, you can tackle Part 3.
