For those keeners who have already come to check out the website, I recommend the following links for your pre-course digestion.

Jeffrey Veen is a Webmonkey, author and long-suffering web designer. I think his "The Foundation of Web Design" is a great place to start thinking about the basics.

An excellent article on:  Writing for the Web.

Visual Architecture: The Rule of Three. From Digital Web Magazine, that you will no doubt want to bookmark.

For fun you might want to check out Web Sites that Suck. "Where you can learn about good design by looking at bad design."

We actually have a bit of content on the site now. I've posted the first HTML lesson, for those of you who would like to review it. Generally speaking, there will be additional information such as readings and links on the left-hand side of the page. In the lesson pages these links will open into a new window and they're marked [new window].
