Treatment

The patient DOES need a pacemaker as definite sinus node dysfunction is seen and the patient has definite symptoms related to the bradycardia.

Indications For A Pacemaker In SSS
- Class I
- Class IIa
  - Spontaneous or drug induced sinus node dysfunction. Heart rate less than 40 beats per minute. Despite indicative symptoms occurrence of bradycardia has not been strongly established.
  - Sinus node function irregularities discovered through EP study. Syncope is of unexplained origin.
