Here is a list of the exciting things ahead once you have mastered the Physics for the Life Sciences courses in first year.
Your home faculty is Science. You like topics such as biochemistry, biophysics, physiology, toxicology, anatomy, pharmacology. Then the B. M. Sc. is of interest to you. This is a competitive program, you need high marks in your first year courses to get in. Last year, for example, an average of 80% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Math. In Physics 029a and 029b a lot of students beat that average. Why? Because students who choose this Physics course are motivated and focus on their studies.
Your home faculty is Science. You are interested in the life sciences, but somehow the B. M. Sc. is not for you. There is a large number of programs to choose from, e.g. in Biology, Environmental Science and Medical Physics. YES! Medical Physics is an exciting new career path that we develop right now with support from the Deans of Science and Medicine, and the Provost, because Western really wants to give you great choices, be it within or be it outside the B.M.Sc. path.
