Exercise 4:
Create a new layout

The goal today is to create a new layout, based on a screen capture that I've posted. [If you click on it, it will show you a full screen version.]

You can build the table with any method we've talked about so far -- you can start with a table from scratch, or you can build it in layers and then translate it into a table.

All of the images are below, and you'll note that I've created rollovers for the persistent navigation.

This is what we call a transparent gif. (The border is applied in html, just so you can see it to download it.) If you are creating a row or column that is quite narrow (smaller than 8 pixels), then you need to insert a transparent gif and reduce the size to whatever width column or row you want.
