Image as content.  (Graphical interface for an imaginary website)

Design two graphical elements from photographic sources. Create elements that are part of a theme for an imaginary website; each should not exceed 10k in size (at 72 dpi). Include a short (two sentence) description of the website's purpose, and a few words about each graphic. The graphics could be buttons for the site, or images that tell you more about the site as a whole.

Basically, I'm looking for a thematic approach to the way you look at these images. You can take digital images off the web for assignment. By thematic, I mean an approach to the graphics that look consistent.

You could also combine the theme with a visual metaphor as I have done with this site. Note: this is not neccessary!

Here are a few examples of how to take a photo and give it a consistent look:

Remember, that I want each of these files to be 10k or under!

There's tons more examples to look at here.
